Don't change your sig on my account either, i certainly commend your new, easy going attitude - i'm usually too stoned to get uptight but i've been working 18 hour days for the past week wrestling with an ancient aix box running oracle 7 - i'm not a dba or even that au fait with aix but there's a skill shortage here (maybe you should come to belfast vorlin!)
Anyways - that was a generic rant aimed at nobody in particular, take from it what you will.

NOTICE: THIS THREAD WAS NOT STARTED BECAUSE OF ANYTHING ENNIS WROTE...that being said, I posted this thread because I want someone to tell me why there's so much BS bickering and such going on...not because of Ennis' departure...I don't even know who he/she/it is. If it gets people to realize the idiocy of the current MB status, great...but I don't want anyone thinking I wrote this because of anything Ennis [did/said/wrote/posted].

Anyways, I just got back from an italian grill and man, those orange macaroons they made were the best! *passes around orange macaroons*

No prob Ennis, I'm just not fond of "those that jump on the bandwagon"...which seems prevalent in some of the posts on the MB which prompted me to write this in caps (to a degree) which you said 'Be gone o ye of caps lock!'! Or something like that...

I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon too...but only to a certain extent. Flaming can be a good thing. It's entertaining. And if someone truly is an idiot they need to know it. Can you imagine people asking "how do you hack hotmail" and NOT getting flamed? That would just be wrong.

So I guess what I'm trying to say. Flames where people are just called gay or other names are stupid. Ones where the flamer truly has superior technical knowledge is good.

I remember one thread with Negative and Paul Zest. Both are smart, and I remember Darwin and other technical books being quoted a lot and the flames were readable, spelled right, and grammatically correct. They didn't insult each other, just each other's knowledge.
