This guy is a bit of a media hoe but nevertheless. He´s had an implant that communicated with a puter so the lights turned on and doors opened for him! :cool:

Hehe, can anyone say HAL? I think intelligent computers is a good idea but I don't think anything should go the route of an entire self-supportive AI as there should be limitations on everything (anyone play Deus Ex?). Checks and balances...

re Vorlin: I don´t know about smarter computers, why not try to make the existing tech come closer to the human so we can use it more efficently. A good voice recognition would be nice cause my hands are starting to ache.

There was a project done by Proffessor K Warwick of Reading University (UK). He is a professor of Cybernetics. He had a chip implanted in him which could be detected by sensors around the building so that, when walking around, doors would open for him, lights turned on when he entered a room and the system could log where he was and at what time. More secure than an id card(?)

have you heard people the 'computer' playing chess against kasparov. i think nowadays, nothing is imposible. they can make anything now that we think is imposible. have you ever wandered that why does the 'wright brothers' build the first airplane when they think that they can fly just as about 15 feet more or less above the ground. but to see, nowadays, they can fly infinitely high... have you ever wondered that the people about 100 yrs from now thinks that the moon is god. and no one can touch it. 'neil amstrong' set the first foot on the moon.
