Kissinger does seem a long time ago, especially to
people who weren't even born during his time
as Nixon's right hand man.

Another oldie with much to answer for (especially on Vietnam war):
Robert Mcnamara.
These guys always write big books telling their side
of the story, while other historians try to dig for
the truth. The trouble is that official records
are "sealed" for many years, until no one cares
any more.
I hope the younger generation doesn't really
believe that events and persons from times
past should be ignored or forgotten because
of being "before my time"

As for Bob, I heard him speak once and (unlike Henry) I think he is actually remorseful about what happened in vietnam....
Now is that remosre for contributing to the deaths of untold humans? Or is it because he failed? THis I cannot answer....
im interested in the things you speak of... but i personally know nothing about them..
Check out that Hitchens Book, and also Sy Hersch has written some great books and articles on the Vietnam era....
I worry that this currrent terrorist scare will allow people like Kissinger to escape justice...though Pinocet was indcited but let go on account of his age....

It's not necessarily a matter of should he go to jail but more of the fact that he may have done some irreparable damage to the U.S. image.
How to punish him then?
What can you do to Kissinger? I think god's done all he can, don't you?
