'funny thing about high load.........why my CPU load goes up, my drives quiet down significantly. It's really rather odd.
Also, depending on age, one's drive may rattle a bit as it goes. It may sound odd, to be sure, but some noise from a drive is normal.......and kind of nice, actually. It lets you know that it's working, and working correctly. And you'll be likely to notice if the noise were to change, signalling a Bad Thing Happening.

My Gateway's been making those awful noises for 2 years now, and it hasn't seemed to cause any trouble yet...don't worry about it too soon...especially if it's got a while left on its warranty...
But I highly recommend NOT smoking around your computer...took me 2 CD-ROM drives to figure that out.:)

Its a seagate 40gig HD but what Im thinking is Because I have it partioned into 3 different partions it needs to run in different areas at the same time. Also gateway built my computer with the HD fit upsidedown above the CD Cases so there might not be enought room for it to cool down or the fact its upside down may be set off a bit. I have no clue but There is no warrenty on it sence I switched it out and bought this HD from Compusa with no warrenty What I really need is a new tower with more power suppies more room to breath would help it maybe? what do you guys think?

Well, you can get a Lian-Li case (http://www.lian-li.com/). They are the best on the market, but like twice or three times as expensive as other cases. If you got the money, go for it, but I'd preferrably get a cheaper case and a better CPU or something.
AOpen (http://www.aopen.com/) is another manufacturer of cases, I've heard some good reviews as well. They are fairly cheap and good quality.
I don't really know which other ones to recommend, I just got mine from some small PC store. It does the job fine. A case is important, but it's not THAT important...hmmm...if you get what I mean. Just make sure to get one with plenty or room (if you want to upgrade, slot more drives in) and has good air-flow.
A good power supply is another important thing.
