PostMaster is a superb email service, I've used it for over 4 years now ([email protected]) and they've had downtime *once* and then that was only whilst they performed a major upgrade, moving from WinNT to Linux servers. It's completely powered by free software and is very reliable. Definitely worth a look if you need a web based email account. :D

Do *not* opt for subscriptions. They are Hell.
Don't forget about www.hushmail.com They actually use an SSL connection even when viewing your email, so it is more secure then a lot of the free email systems.
