Being able to control something just by thinking would be cool I wouldn’t eve have to move my mouse hand to use my computer. I could become the laziest person ever.

If they ever institute this, I want to at least see a version where the flow of information is guaranteed to be only one-way. Using my mind to do things? Sure. Getting input from anything not cleared by my ears or eyes or other sensory organs? No way, big potential for evil. Imagine keyloggers. Imaging BRAINLOGGERS. <shiver> Might never happen, given individual wiring differences, but.... <shiver again>
Man, everyone is always saying how technology is moving so fast. Well gee, just 2 days ago I would think technology like this would be years away. This is really an amazing advance. Science fiction becomes science fact...

Very well said and I totally agree....Bring on the cyborg! :D
Quite impressive for a first post.....
It seems kind of amazing and it is to some extent. But our brains are just complex neural networks running on electric impulses. The basic functions of the brain can easily be synthesised by computer. Anyone who's worked with a little AI can vouch for this. It's all just a big network of nodes and edges with different wieghts. The real trouble is finding an interface between our brains and computer technology.
Makes you think doesn't it?Quote:

Right now, we're inside a computer program?

Wild, isn't it?

This isn't real?
MORPHEUS:
What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about your senses, what you feel, taste, smell, or see, then all you're talking about are electrical signals interpreted by your brain.
