Why would anyone want to be part of a country that only exist online?
That would be pretty interesting. I could see one of the felonies being Grand Theft Root lol.
hahah ... all government agents would be zombies and DoS you to death!
but one must consider that an online country couldn't ever relish the dream of hosting the olympics :(
Online Olympics? How would they test for steroids? :bigsmile:Quote:

Sealand!
This may be old news since I have not heard about this place in ages. Its not a country but a more functional and "independent" principality. If you have enough with money you always can be a "online" member on their servers. To bad that money talks .. But their idea is to attract money and to be richer, I do not blame them .. Who would not like to be rich?

Sealand was founded as a sovereign Principality in 1967 in international waters, six miles off the eastern shores of Britain. The island fortress is conveniently situated from 65 to 100 miles from the coasts of France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. The official language of Sealand is English and the Sealand Dollar has a fixed exchange rate of one U.S. dollar. Passports and stamps have been in circulation since 1969, however, contrary to many misleading websites and news articles, Sealand passports are not for sale, and anyone offering such are selling forgeries.
The idea they have to provide a anonymous and secure "plattform" are very interesting and a secure online community obeying "their" own laws would I like to consider as a dream of freespeach and anonymity :D.Quote:

HavenCo has been providing services since May 2000 and is fully operational, offering the world's most secure managed servers in the world's only true free market environment, the Principality of Sealand. Our testing period is now over, and we can offer services to all businesses which comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Setup takes approximately 3-5 days, and dedicated servers in managed colocation, with ample bandwidth, are competitively priced with other secure centers around the world.
Ofcourse this can be usd in the wrong way, but a lots of things today are used in the wrong way and only good management can provide for a good community..
I dont know if Sealand still exist and are functionally today.. I have not heard the opposite so I guess its operational today.
Sealand was operational last year atleast, read an article back then.
Cool stuff realy, I wouldn´t mind founding a little country of my own.
High court is now in session, reverend judge, King and big Kahuna Pooh-Bear is now in the house. Ya´ll better recognise (or you´ll be walking the plank) Hehehe
As for the Olympics, why not a multiplayer game olympics? We could even use sports games if you want to keep it pure.
I think AntiOnline pretty much is an online country by this point, consider these points:
1) We have a leader (JP)
2) He has ministers (the moderators)
3) We are constantly under attack by terrorists
4) People have to apply for citizenship, and can have it revoked
5) We have laws
6) Other nations are constantly putting us down and making jokes about us (slashdot, attrition, antioffline)
7) We have a national library
Please add more!
If we get enough, maybe the UN will declare us a sovereign nation! (j/k, before I get flamed)

Yeah , I saw that, kinda sad that all the refugees are applying for citizenship. . .
