In the end, this will probably go into the accountant-books as being a "morale booster."
It reminds me of the faculty of Electrical Engineering in Delft that was running a pron site for research purposes ... got shut down because they were getting too much interest from the US .... must have been one heck of a research topic ....

Ey Brain, Electrical Enginering, that's the ITS faculty, right? Used to study Computer Science there :) One of my classmates was planning on getting a (non-porn) server online, with a few of his friends - but all of a sudden, that was forbidden by the system administrator. When asked why, he'd reply: "Because we've had bad experiences with those kind of things." Related? :)
