AntiPoints...

To me it is bullshit it stops people from saying what they want to say because they would rather see those green squares above there name. They also don't help evaluating people. It's more used now as a weapon then anything. Back in the day when there was no such thing as anti-points people knew who was who and if you disagreed with them well you would pm an evil message or flame them on the thread <--Both are still popular. I've pissed so many people off here it's not even funny well to me it is hehe, It's like segrgation and the nazi's to me god damn green and red squares.

IMO -There's nothing wrong with the antipoints system, if you don't like it then, ignore it.

This reminds me of story about a Cardinal from the south I heard once. The Cardinal wanted a radio station to be shut down because he heard something that was offensive. "Well Cardinal did you knwo that there are two knobs on the radio; one to turn it off and on; and one to change the channel. But then again I'm sure the Cardinal isn't too comfortable with anything with two KNOBS ON IT!!!!

Actually, I agree with you. The way the system works is fine with me. Maybe some changes in the AP center, like # of points or something, but the actual underlying system is fine.

antipoitns never stopped me from expressing my opinion

ok maybe antipoints sytem is not the best system on the world but at least it is the best system that we know (it is the same as democracy - bad system but the best we know:)). Of course there are many mistakes and you can disagree with it but it just up to you. For example me - when someone is answering my newbie question I see his green dots but even if they arent there I will still can see how good is the answer. But that green points can help me decide for the first look. The rest is on me...

And people like ac1dsp3ctrum, vorlin, souleman etc etc.. (sorry to them I didnt mentioned:)) will be good even if they don't have their green points... end some people will suck even if they have zillions of that magic balls... it's just up to you to follow this or not...

God I hate discussions about AntiPoints! Why is it so important to people to have little green dots over their names?
