Yer a funny guy :) . Anyway, Windows XP was based on Windows 2000 (just incase you didn't notice, but Im sure you did) and uses the same principal as it, and practically the same protocols. No one was complaining when Windows 2000 hit the streets.
Now, many people often query the Windows XP is not worth the money. I say, it is probably the best OS that MS has made. Why? Because it's a networking OS and a user friendly OS in one. It's basically a combination of style, stabibility, and networking in one operating system.
This is what I mean. Windows 98SE had the user friendlyness, but not the stabibility. I clearly explained that in my first post, as you can see.
Windows 2K had the networking, but wasn't as user-friendly, and still had some holes in it, if you know what I mean.
Microsoft combined these two OSes and filled in the little holes that Windows 2000 had.
