Hmmm, freeOn.... People could Already get your IP from your website... All of your links are in the following form... http://12.*.*.*/file.html

um..... i dont know whats going on here but this is what ive figured out by reading this..

1. freeOn u bitch to much... just get over it... wow they showed ur IP address... the worest that could happen is u are DDoSed and kicked offline and ull have to call ur ISP up to get a new IP... big deal.

2. Ac1d seems to be the blame for ur problem yet it was the person who said it before hand but ur to stupid to notice this

3. Preacher posted ur IP address for some reason and ur pist and blah blah blah... life goes on

4. Listing reasons in numbers make u look like ur saying more

5. This is addictive...

6. hot dogs come in packs of eight, and hot dog buns come in packs of six

7. Dont argue with stupid people... They will bring u down the their level and beat u with exsperince

freeon, not trying to be an ass or anything..... but who the hell cares if your IP was boadcasted????? what your scared some skript kiddy will do something with it???? protect your computer and your fine.... pluss what is a server for??? its for public use, well atleast a webserver is, unless you put a password lock on your website

If someone wanted to hack you etc i am sure they can find a way todo it I dont suppose hackeres like being given an IP on the plater as this removes some of the work for them!! anyway whats the biggy deal? I think we should all shut up about it and get back to normal everyday life < redgore walks into the mist and goes to the Dark Dark underworld that is IRC and linux>

IMHO: FreeOn (=Rupert ) calm down man... wtf is going on this time? If you have a webserver at home it's completly normal that we can easily know your IP. How the f... do you think ppl get to your site? Still it's 'not done' to broadcast other one's IP through public IRC.

I find this whole thread utterly foolish! Why broadcast your problems on AO IRC on here? Is it to embarass another member?

Sure, I wouldn't like it if Rupert came on bad-mouthing me, but was it really necessary to show EVERYONE else on AO what happened? Do me a favor, and keep your problems and conflicts to yourself.

(BTW, I am in a bad mood this morning, so don't give me negative AP's please. ;))

i give my ip out on AO irc all the time dont c what the big deal is most of the users we can trust and the guest.... do i really have to explain why they are not threat
freeon i think you over exadurated (spelling ?) if ur security is tight as it should be or mabey your should go back to the newbies formum lol then it should be no problem
and if ppl really wanted your ip they could have got it easy enough

Finally, your IP can be known from anyone who wants it! So just deal with it!
