cF_nM...It's not hard to make a poll when you start a thread. Just post the thread, and add a poll. Have people vote (scale it 1 to 5 or something). Then, if there is actually enough interest, and a bunch of books get rated, then maybe make a site suggestion to have a "suggested reading list" page. A single page with a list of books recommended that all got 5's. Include a review by one of the members....etc. ****, JP could even make money off of it, but linking the books to amazon.com (unless there is something in his contracts that says he can't). But like I said, the forum isn't used that much right now anyway. If we get some more books in there, then the suggested reading list could be useful.

When I get some more time, I'll suggest a few books with a short synopsis of the book and we'll see how it goes...

It certainly would be a good idea to be able to rate books, because then you get a variety of opinions, rather than just the person who wrote the review.
The only problem is that most people who bother to write a review either sing the book's praises or slam it down. So you don't always get an unbiased opinion! :D
