There was a new patch released for IE 6 on may 15th.....
little pop-up boxes kept proclaiming that the application IE had performed a 'fatal error'....then my computer would continue to shut down, and I would lose all unsaved work....
so i found the patch
[and as i was installing it my computer froze, hehe go figure :D ]

Here is where to get the IE 6 patch:

Not a problem since last night...... :D
{Mairu, I also checked for "Mssb" and it was not running on my computer}
Well, might I take this opportunity to direct your attention to some alternatives to IE:
www.opera.com
www.mozilla.org
Both are great little web browsers, in fact, I'm using opera right now.
From what I was able to gather,
dotNow! is a free internet service provider.
msbb.exe is something they install
on your computer when you use
their service.
Do you use this provider, or have
you used it in the past?
Did you buy a used computer?
Maybe the previous owner used
dotNow!.
Anyway, if you aren't using dotNow!
as your internet service provider,
it would be safe to delete the file.
without deleting anything, or doin' anything at all, simply anything, i've got a lovely solution -
thanks everybody anyway
and if anyone has the same problem, get in touch !
see ya'll
Well, I'll be. . .
That's like reading a story only to find that the last pages with the climax have been ripped out. mairu,
what was your lovely solution!
I hate it when people do this!
You don't need to do all the stuff.... Just download the newest version of I.E.
I would also look into sypware removal kits...
System_0verload
you dont have to remove it at all system_overload, here's the solution and the problem with it is that it bloody works lol :::
Instructions for this fix:
1. Shut down "msbb.exe" if it's running (Ctrl-Alt-Del).
2. Run "msconfig" and remove MSBB from the startup sequence!
3. Find "systray.exe" in the Windowssystem folder then "copy" it and then "paste"
it into the Dotnow folder.
4. Move or Rename the original "msbb.exe" in the dotnow folder to disable it
then rename the copy of "systray.exe" to "msbb.exe".
You can now consider your spy "executed".
uh hmm :>
