If you go to a bank and ask for one they should know what you are talking about. However it might a U.S. thing, I'm not sure. When I travelled abroad I used traveller's checks and the deutsch mark since I was mostly in Germany. Good luck.
If you're near a 7/11 then they'll have them too, but I never saw a 7/11 in Europe when I was there. I think they are a U.S. thing too.
hehehe

I donated a few bucks...everyone should if they can spare it. Just think of it as positive karma points, which are much more important than AntiPoints.

Im going to donate a few bucks too, i don't have much to donate, i have learned alot from AO i think we all owe him a favor

alright, just gave all the money on my debit card, HOPE IT HELPS
-
Yeah, money orders are like prepaid checks. I got rid of my checking account/debit card/and all the credit cards I had, and am now operating on cash. You just go in, ask for one, say the amount, it has a 35 cent fee and you have a check ready to go, you just have to make it out.
(a real pain in the ass come bill time when you have several money orders, but I like to keep gas station cashiers on their toes) heh
