again..... dont listen to Netcraft cause its wrong(im arguing with Netcraft cus i know for a FACT that its wrong, you really think that JP would use win2k for his webserver??? let alone IIS??? come on this is a security site for crying out loud....)... the site uses the uberSUN JP just bought.... wich runs Solaris8.... and JP correct me if im wrong but i thought u coded this board yourself?
Dome im pretty sure that JP uses Windows 2000 server. I believe this not only because of the netcraft results, but also because he uses ISS real secure server sensor for microsft isa server. This is how he is able to log intrusion attempts. I believe that his Sun server supports the huge antionline database. Just because JP doesnt use *nix doesnt however mean that his system isn't very secure.
well something tells me the DB is ran on mysql and linked by php just look at the URL it is obviously php and to make the site as fast as it is wiht thousands of users MS 2000 isnt the best at handleing that many users maybe MS 2000 advanced server like my friend has, the DB is probably ran on uberSun :)
I'm sure vbulletin is the system behind the forums, although as I said it's been heavily modified by JP almost beyond recognition. However, a lot of the URLs, features and particulary the error messages are very similar to, and sometimes exactly the same as, the ones found in vbulletin. Then again, I could be wrong. ;)Quote:

vbulletin is built using PHP and an SQL database.
Editing a message board isn't usually too difficult, since most of the work has already been done for you, often all you have to do is change a few variables or use the built-in control panels to change the look of the forum. Building a forum from scrach is somewhat more difficult... ;)
