Lindows

How many times are people going to ask this question????

As far as I am concered, Lindows sucks. Get linux with Wine (or VMWare if you want to spend money). Lindows is charging people to beta test their product. Therefore it is no better then Microsoft at all. Personally, I almost wish that microsoft had won thier lawsuit against Lindows.

I think if I could run some of the apps out there on a win box id be a happy camper but I agree that it would bring microsloth some woes but hey they can take it!

Lindows will fail, the competition is getting bigger, besides now that some linux companies have formed an alliance Lindows will have to come up with a working product by christmas. I don't think they can make it.
Besides one more thing Vorlin, why would a Linux system have better security? Linux may be safe, but not secure, secure would still be OpenBSD.

Since I am one of the few people who have actually run Lindows I was severely disappointed. I like my Suse 8.0 w/ WINE better then Lindows. They have the interface, but installing Windows APPS on it is horrible. I couldn't get Office XP to work at all. I got an email that they have a new release out, so perhaps I will get it a try, but it needs a lot of work before its a mature OS.

Screw Lindows just get Cygwin or Vsh!
