I hear you zaggy... I live in Sudbury, ON and the unemployment rate here is around 11%, this compared to the provinces 6%
What I don't understand is why charge someone a fee for broadcasting a signal over the internet, when they are non-profit.
I would understand if it was a radio station like MOJO FM, who play advertisements, but people who just want to play some tunes, speak their minds, and so....
Canada has always enjoyed bragging that they are a country that encourages multi-culturalism, freedom of expression and free speach, yet with this increase in fees (where I see that no fees should even be) is only damaging to this bragging right. With this bill, the only effect will be silencing the smaller people with small wallets.
Doesn't the Govern't want us to reach out to other countries by internet broadcast and tell them about this country? I'm guessing no
