Does this occur when you are downloading strictly through browser, or does it occur when ftping? Check to see if you can FTP through the dos commands without issues, and if you have it, test a graphical FTP client..
You may have some issues w/ your browser. Which browser/ Version are you running? Perhaps a repair of it would be applicable. For IE: Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> Add/remove progs-> Microsoft internet explorer. Chose to add/remove this. When the options appear, chose the repair feature.
Other browsers: Backup your bookmarks, then uninstall/reinstall the browser through add/remove progs.

Although I thank all of you who have given me ways to cure this computer i have had more problems ni the last 10 minutes then i've had since i first started on it!!
My MSN Messenger pops up telling me that someone els has responded to my "ME BLUES" post, and out of the corner of my eye i see a full "Recycle Bin"
I think to myself "well Ian, go right ahead and empty it out while your thinkning about it, but first look for that Diablo II save you thought you might have accidently deleted when you were organizing stuff." I open up the trash bin and i am BLINDED by about 4 million files i now remeber getting from that DAMNED Kazaa Worm virus thing. (the anti-Benjamin thing im sure at least a few of you know about). I hit empty bin... and a window pops up that normally shows the progress of the deletion. 43 MINUTES REMAINING! (damn that worm) ANYWAY! I decide to go read that follow up to my ME Blues thing... no sooner had i got to AO... and... IIITTTTT FFFFRRROOOOOZZZZEEEE!!!!!@ OMG!!! IM GUNNA KILL EVERYONE WHOS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PESTILENCE THAT IS WINDOWS ME!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA! The computer almost when out the window i kid you not. No worries.... Im calm cool and collected now. I reboot.... a few seconds later (ME is good at rebooting.... thats about it) im back on.... i click empty recylce bin... "5 minutes remaining" no prob. back to my post.... [gloworange]IT CRASHES AGAIN!!!![/gloworange] IM GOING TO HAVE A BRAIN ANEURYSM!! DIE COMPAQ AND ME AND SNET DSL!!!!! ABOUT 5 LOCK UPS LATER!!!! AND 1 SEVERE CASE OF ANGER-INDUCED BRAIN TRAUMA.... Im here.... and its working.... although I am greatful for those of you that arer attempting to help, i found that most of you told me to DOWNLOAD a patch (or somthing to that extent) well i cant do that because it keeps FREEZING!.... oh well.... this computer is gunna get its ass kicked.
