Smartaleck.
Women techs are still a rare breed. I'm the only one I know of in the area and the only one that's self employed with a shop. Most days I can handle the comments with a sense of humor but I have times where I get really tired of fighting the battle. When that happens I try and take a day off, it's not always possible but you need to walk away on occasion.
For the totally clueless..the calendar comment was a joke. :p
I think it's great as well. :)
BTW, though off-topic, is it just me or is Vorlin's info in this thread (Location, mood, etc) all bolded and no one else's is? It's neat, but I just don't get it. *shrug*
I'd buy a callendar with your bright shining smile...... =)

The question is... (two actually...)
How many of them are men in disguise? (Hey, it happens more than you'd think on ye olde internet)
And, not to be sexist or anything... For that ratio, how does that change if you take out the online shopping aspect of it?
Vorlin's Data: Que interesante. It looks bolded to me too.
For some reason the bold tag of the "I help bail out JP" isn't closed like it should be...:Quote:

hey souleman,
If the ratio keeps going up like this, we are going to have to start a second set of top10's based on gender.... umm, never mind...
hope you are kidding souleman?
ROFL This is to funny.. TechieChick don't give them anymore ideas please :)
ahmedmamuda.... yes, I was joking.. I figured that would be kind of obvious..
Can I just verify for you, I am definitely not a man in disguise. I am a RIOT GRRL!! lol. But I too think it's great how many females are on this site, and how even as a newbie I have noticed several really prominent female members like GreekGoddess, TechieChick, debwalin and several others [sorry for not namechecking other frequent posters] - this is really inspirational! Because from a female perspective, it does make the site seem more accessible and female-friendly, when often areas involving technology and particularly computers are seen as specifically for male usage. In a world increasingly dependent on technology it's good to know that there are women at the forefront of this, and that it will probably empower women more as it becomes a standard that women can be proficient. Not that I am, but it gives me hope yet! Thanks ladies for being ladies and thanks laddies for being open-minded and apreciative!
