My rant about trust

Here's the catch though, before this big huge companies did this.

Would any of us do the same thing if we were in the Ceo's Position, or someone lower than that put would go into it for a few million. I could guarantee almost 70% of us would. Probably not now due to President Bush is trying to head up another "party" to watch over these companies. for ex. your the copier boy, and you over heard some things, or they asked you to get rid of some paperwork, and for your trouble, I will give you a million dollars. Now who wouldnt take that offer even knowing it is illegal.

I would do it.....(i might not be trusty worthy, but i would be rich) until I got caught, but again, im only the copy boy....) :D

I trust the government more than one of my brothers.:blast:

Don't know where that's quoted from but I think it applies here to Corporate America now. All business starts with someone's dream and if successful, is probably bought out, changed, you name it. Businesses in the 90's were able to do whatever they wanted with no real repercussion of being found out/etc. Now, it's all coming back around full circle as we're seeing Enron, Arthur Anderson, Worldcom, Xerox, Computer Associates, etc etc...

One of the seven deadly sins is greed. And there's a shitload of it in Corporate America now. Sure, the worldcom CFO got fired but what about his severance? Probably a couple mill....yeah, there we go, he was fired but gets a few million or whatever? How does THAT golden parachute work?

You can trust me~! ;)

how about GOD? I haven't tried that one yet.

Unfortunately we cant trust anybody. That really sucks because trust is a beutiful thing. if you can truley trust someone to the point of death then you have this inner feeling of happiness. The world we live in today cannot do that because we think about only one thing.... and that is money. If you look at it everything leads to money.

Money leads to mistrust, mistrust leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, suffering leads to the dark side....

That's a good point, Ponders. When it's a choice between a million dollars or your job, then I guess one would naturally do it and hope it does not come back to haunt you. I can see that happening at Arther Andersen with all these people doing as the boss told them to do; shred those docs... NOW!

And as the copy boy myself, I have never seen even a fraction of a million dollars so I cannot even comprehend what I would do... pay my bills, take a vacation, pay off my house, give to charity.... starts feeling really greedy now...
