i agree with you khakisrule i get those **** like >>
<<HI I just want to know about how to hack hotmail account. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT IF, so please tell me.>>
And when you refuse telling them, tsomtimes they end up saying >>" just say you don't know how" you looser, y wasting my time LOL>>
usually i say to my self, who is then the looser? i wish am able to kick ya Bot out inhere.

I think if the public didn't fantacize about what a "hacker" or "cracker" is then people would be less apt to ask lame questions (ie, "Can you show me how to hack hotmail......."). There should be more on the news about the young kid from the suburbs who's about to spend the next few years getting to know Tyrone really well in a cramped jail cell...perhaps that would be a deterrent to youngsters wanting to learn how to be "hackers"...just my 2 cents...

When I was hanging around the Yahoo! Hacker Lounge a year/year 1/2 ago, there were people asking those questions all the time via private message or out in the chat room with really bold letters and/or flooding. It got really, really annoying and nobody was really talking about anything other than "I am l33t3r than j00" garbage.
When I would get PM's like those you describe, I simply ignored them. My ignore list got so big I decided just to stop going there altogether. As for IRC, I avoided the cracker rooms altogether...
I just hang here where the cool people are ;)

mmm. spam. what else has that beautiful gel that keeps it um fresh?
ok ok. not that kind of spam. anyway you look at it, spam just sucks.

apparently some of you misinterpreted my previous post, if you did, what i am trying to say is that whoever contacted khakis, either figured that since you have such clout here that you must know something on the topic, or they figured that because you were from canada you would help them, although im not sure why that would make you more likely to know of such topics, and no im not kissing ass, im simply explaining myself. and the reason cracking was capitalized is because that is just what they were trying to do, hacking is merely the enjoyment in stretching a programs capabilities or exploring the details of a programmable system, it also can be somebody who is simply an expert at a particular program. cracking is of the illegal variety, and that is what they were wanting help with, attempting to gain access through unconventional methods(conventional being the user logging in) or attempting to gain entry to 'learn' from what was in their friends email accounts.

I think I've gotten one message like that, a long while ago... personally I didn't validate it with any sort of reply - pretty much the same treatment I give to spam that gets through my filters (although I tend to take that spam and use it to strengthen my filters).
But khakis' - forgive me for asking... I seem to remember a post from you a long time ago, arguing that "n00bs should be coddled and "given a chance" rather than flamed in to cinders for asking such stupid questions" (paraphrasing heavily, but I hope it strikes a memory); if I'm mis-remembering, my apologies... you joined right around the time of a few other "noteables," such as komo (or wtf ever his handle(s) were). My basic point is that posting "oh, let's give the kiddies a chance" has the effect of causing a certain percentage of the kiddies within our 90k plus ranks to think it might be worthwhile to PM you asking for "help..." at least that's what I would guess, anyway.

khakisrule sounds like yah00 chat .As that is all they ask in there. It's annoying an just plain dumb for any one to ask those question's.But usually they are teen's or a ticked off chick in a chat that wants a rival gone,or a suspicious spouse thats playing online as much as the other one is.When they ask those questions you know they are lame.
