Realistically, the UN can do nothing to us except maybe close its offices and move to Europe. All that would do is cause a huge celebration in New York City. They wouldn't be dodging diplomat's illegallly parked cars any more and, there would be more parking space available, not to mention new office space.
I've been negged several times for posting my opinion of the UN. Here it is again. The UN is a toothless, clawless tiger. It can roar and that's about it. I resent US troops taking an oath of allegiance to anything but the United States. I resent their meddling in the internal affairs of this country, which they have done. I've said before, the United Nations is simply a continuation of the failed League of Nations. The League didn't work and neither will the UN.
I think the United Nations is a fine place for nations to discuss personal differences and other events related to their members. That should be the extent of their role.
