When I first saw this thread, my initial thought was essentially what Al said, but he beat me to saying it.

I'm not the one who negged you, and I'm not accusing you of anything. But I can see very easily why somebody might think that about you. When I see a newbie with 4 or 5 green dots and less than 30 posts, I have to assume that's either a friend or an alter ego of somebody with a bunch of APs. Newbies just don't normally average 100 points every 5 posts. Some of the senior members who were banned are accumulating points in a similar manner, but they were open about who they are so there's no mystery there.

And the fact that you appeared on the same day as the first wave of AP bannings makes you just that much more suspicious. Your Roll Call post was about making a change in AO, your first post after that was a pointed attack on cmnoop for creating trouble that led to the bannings, and you generally post like you've been around a while.

So, yes, I can very easily see why someone might think you're not what you appear to be. Again, I'm not accusing you of anything, and frankly I don't care, but you have to admit that it does look a bit odd. Quite a chain of coincidences there.

I have noticed the oddities about you (and a few other newbies) myself, but I just have better things to do with my time than worry about who is who around here.

Well, I have been lurking around awhile. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to join, and in the end I did. That's why I post like I've been here.

the reason you antipoint assignment has no 'clout' is because you have only made 32 posts at the time of this posting. it might have changed, but i believe your points count after 45(?) posts.

when you have many point, your opinion 'means' something. you more or less influence the quality of posts that appear here. when newbies post something that they get negged for they tend not to make that type pf post again. the same is true of good posts. the more points people give you, the more your opinion is worth. its a good plan.

Well, I hope someday my opinion is worth something! :D Oh and uhh, thank you everyone for your help. Although everyone gave me a different answer (pretty much), I'll try to see what the matter is.

Uuuuhmm. Would people just stop complaining and whining about those ****ing AP? I mean, is it really that difficult? Just use your mind when posting, and when you do get negged, so be it. Simple as that.

Not trying to put you guys off, :-) but I hope that you understand my point of view.

i have -80 ap. for a while i really frustrated bout the point but after all why should i care. as long as im not been banned, it ok for coz i really, really care and carefull with wat im asking and writing. but if i been banned, just say wat should i so, as long as i think i don't offended any ppl outside there.
