Well I haven't posted in a long time... :airoff: and I didn't really take time to read the above posts, I saw alot of games in those lists I really like to play.
Here is an uncompiled list of what I like to play:

Actually, at my high school the tech dept. are holding a LAN party this weekend and there are some pretty hardcore gamers in the group (just look at some of the machines at charles0.freeshell.org, one of these machines has over a gig of RAM in it :D). So really we would have a fair taste of games to play. I'd play:

I don't feel very competent at recommending games, but have you considered the security aspect of the LAN center?
Do you have a way to keep unscrupulous users from stealing the CD keys or identifiers which you use? It could cause you problems later, especially if you plan to allow people to come and play online with the outside world. You don't need to worry about cheaters or accountability, right? I mean, you have all the computers there, under control, and you can find out which machine had which IP address and what customer was using it, right? So set up games (where possible) such that they don't care about cheaters or ID, and you might get by with less complication and with single keys for several clients on a game.
Do these LAN machines have external connections? Can users walk off with data? Can they view the registry keys for certain games and note down sensitive information, taking it home and effectively 'stealing' your copy of the game? How to prevent users from installing little keyloggers?
I would recommend having a central point for users to go to if they wish to import or export data from the network, a 'drive server' if you will. Each client would have no easily accessible means to add/remove data (CD, Burner, ZIP, unsupervised webmail, even floppy)
Blah blah blah... and all that stuff. :)
Yep, The security is goiing to be tighter then hell. All the games are going to be locked up in a ghost server preloaded with all patches, optimal config with the OS. They are going to only have access to the server, and the whole lan is going to have an openbsd firewall, and one seperating the ghost db from the comps. The reg and stuff is going to be all tied down. They arn't going to have floppy drives etc installed. If they want to save a game or save screenshots, game movies etc, they will have to go thru the main data outlet behind the desk (and pay a few bucks for em ;) ) As for the cd-keys etc, I'm prolly going to have to set up the configs for each game, and then save a copy of each reg to upload after the ghost via the server. But it really depends on the way each game has their site licensing up. All in all, It will be tighter than fort knox.
if you like the roleplaying thing i sugest neverwinter nights... i find its as close as yo ucan get to real D&D on a computer. Medel of Honor, and unreal tournement are good FPS in their own respects. counterstrike always kikcs ass i think, and Diablo 2 can be cool if you like simpler RPG/action. i ifind quake 3 to be a bit to doctored up grfx wise (which kinda takes away from the games) , and lastly ive heard jedi knights is really good multiplayer game.
