This is cool idea...hackerslab (hope white hackers...hehehe..I can use for my research)..even got very high risk...

I agree with preep except the 'black hat/skiddie' bit. If you look and see when I registered, you'll see that I've been with AO for a VERY long time...I think I'm probably one of the oldest members here ;)
When the forums first started becoming popular, there were a LOT of script kiddies here asking questions-the classic 'How do I hack Hotmail?'-but with the implementation of APs, AO pretty much got rid of them. And I've really never seen any true black hats here on AO to begin with......
I used to play hackerslab for a while (got up to level 4 in like 2 weeks), so I can answer your question for you. Put simply, you start out on level 1 and once you figure the level 1 challenge out, you get moved up to level 2 and so on and so forth. Another similar game can be found at Cyberarmy.Quote:

yupee CF that's what I meant very risk...I'm not really agree with that idea..even good idea to have hackerslab(for positif thing..maybe uset hat lab to protect yourself from blackhackers)...or they can do that things/lab somewhere else??
I dont know if all of you have been around long enough but a little bit ago JP made a Wargames suggestion and was going to have a DoD funded wargames test on some servers and afterwards he was going to turn it into public wargames.... i REALLY dont know what happened with that Idea as you can see the discussion topic is still ont he discussion board forum list... Im not sure if the DoD testing ever went down but if it did i guess hes been too busy to convert it to public wargames....
I think wargames would be a good idea, but only if there was a variaty... like a king of the hill type of game(get root and try to keep it at all costs) and a UNIX based challenge game (like hackerslab) and of course for you windows lovers a web-based "windows" challenge....
I think this would be encouraging.... as far as trading APs for hits go, i think its a decent idea.... JP has put in alot of checks and ballences w. the AP system so i dont think alot of this 'AP Trading' is going to be taking place anymore, I also wonder what happend to the AO Store idea that u can buy AO merchendice with your APs :) like my ub3r AO T-Shirt that i have. hehe
Yes, I remember the DoD thing...I dunno if it went down either....I was very excited about it, but I didn't get chosen if it did go through :P

Well i personally think its a great idea, even with the AP's.
You know, if people want to take start trading in AP's just to do well in a game, then let them.
Its petty if anything.

I don't think it would increase blackhat/s'kiddie activity on AntiOnline but I do think it would bring in more members (not that it needs it but hey) and I think members who stopped being active would return, try the wargames, maybe start posting (possibly posting experience with the wargames). So, I think it would be a great idea.
Heh,...maybe he could take/buy a single server and create a second website for wargame defacements. This could also be a sort of 'King of the Hill' game. who can deface and keep others out from defacing your defacement :p. This would probably make people deface AO's website legally and leave other websites out (which the defacement would be illegal), for the mere thrill of bragging to all the AO community. But hey...if you get in, you get in ;), in all fairness - you brag as much as you want... as long as it's YOUR name on the defacement :p.

I reckon that would be a good idea. I know this would take a lot of implementing, however y not have a section like in try2hack, and have a seperate WarGames server. I know this would take a lot of time and effort to try and make both of these, however it will cater for all people wanting to do that type of thing. I'm on the fence with the AP situation in these games, however the outcome of these (if either went ahead) would be fantasic either way.
