Well check this out. I called up my reseller and told em my problem. They were baffeled. So i called up oracle and told them my problem and they said that oracle 8.1.7 had problems with p4's. I had to download a java realease, i forgot which one, and had to copy a few things from the java directory to the oracle cd, which i had to copy onto my harddrive, and it worked. Id like to know who figured this out because it just boggles my mind how anybody could figure out how to get this to work. so thanx for the help all, i truelly appreciate it.

One suggestion was good - to install Windows Installer.
You can also Check "Group Policy" for the machine. Windows Installer is disabled or not?
Run "gpedit.msc"
