desktop trouble

Hi guys, I copied all your suggestions to my zip disk and followed what you all said about testing monitor, refresh rates and resolutions, and trying out another video card . It did turn out to be my video card and I put in drivers also.I would have never known how to approach this specific problem and it was good because I received many suggestions from you all. I also moved my speakers( I wasn't aware they had magnets) and I put my cordless in a different location. So you have all put together a good tutorial for one to follow. I numbered all the steps and sequenced them, one after the other. I used and tried all that you said just to learn and keep it in memory as well as on a disk Thank you muchly. I think my head is beginning to swell from all this knowledge. Auntie
