YEap eudora is the way to go for easiness it has plenty of cool plugins.
or if you miss the good old days: you can always use pine .... lol: no nothing! just attachements !!

I use Outlook Express because of the way it works with Secure Signature and encrypted messages. Like qwerty_smith said, keep the patches up and use version-6. Pegasus works with Secure Signature but only with other Pegasus users, although the GUI and control of Pegasus is neat. Do believe Eudora also handles Secure Signature with other clients (from what i've read) however i have not tried it so can't say for sure. :)

Just search with Google you'll find many browsers. try Mozilla or Eudora

If you don´t want multi-accounts try eudora, netscape&mozilla some time´s get blocked. I have been using eudora for a year and for me it´s the best.

Scorp666 - I've been using Eudora and haven't had too many problems with it, although I don't think it is as secure as others may think. I've read good things about Pegasus but have never used it and the same goes for Vivian Mail (free as well). I was under the impression that the latest Outlook (6.0) wasn't as bad security-wise as earlier versions - of course that may just be MS propaganda.

ProblemChild - Thanks for the PMMail reference. I will check out their site later but if you have any tips, tricks, etc. you want to pass along - it would be appreciated as well.

mmoehring - I wasn't aware that web-based email was more secure. Do you have any reference material you could point me to? What web email service are you using? I'm curious because I was always led to believe that web-based email was anything but secure so would appreciate any info you might have on the subject.

I'm going to throw my hat into the Pegasus ring.

For personal use it's great, all the tools you'll need, but with a huge dollop of security through obscurity.

anyone remember COS? I bet that doesn't suffer from buffer overruns.

you could always try the built in email client in the Opera browser (http://www.opera.com/), im not really sure how it goes as far as security is as i hardly ever use a POP email service as i need portability between home and uni computers,

the opera download is only about 3 or 4 meg without java so its not a huge thing to get if you want to try it out, then if you already have it even better :)
