Actually i dont go there i cant seem to bring my self to post in them but there is far to much general chitchat and i will say this again this site isnt a usenet group the first time i came here i didnt have a clue i thought my IP address was 127.0.0.1Quote:

and antionline inspired me now im using linux and learning to program just remeber this is a security website
and the reason im mad is because i thinka lot of security post's and technical related threads get OVER LOOKED because of all the crap people post

I'm among quite a few who would agree with you Prodikal, yes members should be circumspect when starting threads, whether new or not. Lascaux also has a valid point, even though I hate BS threads as much as the next guy. So please refrain from negging the guy whoever you are, he's just stating what the Forum description states....

Well Prodikal I both agree and disagree. I believe I can stand on my record that I do post worthwhile replies in the technical threads. I also love the site for its technical content.
However, I enjoy the relaxation of posting to some off topic threads as well. Are there too many? I don't know, that is a personal thing.
The one thing you said that I am 120% in agreement with is the posting to old threads which brings them to the top of the home page again. Personally I peruse this page first to look for interesting topics. The chit chat topics are often fun and entertaining but after a day or two they have been covered and should be resigned to posterity. If the old threads were not brought up again I think things would balance out better. If you note about half of the chit chat threads on the home page are old. Let them retire, they are tired and have served their purpose. They have offered some fun, relaxation, a bit of debate. Now they should rest.

and thats why im trying to say please dont post every little thing that is on your mind or every news article you run across i aggree we need general chit chat sometimes but 10 or more posts in general chitchat a day is rediculos and thats why im so mad and i aint going to go around neggin new members for it it takes a while to find your feet any where new that you go
