Whatever the reason people come to AO really doesn't matter. If they come here looking to find out how to be a script kiddie and change their minds due to the content on here, well score one for us as a community. If they don't change their minds and ask stupid questions, they will be banned and we still win.
Diversity is necessary for any community, and while I feel that AO gets a bad rap because it is assumed to be a hacking site, once people are here they get the idea. The community has grown and that isn't because of kiddies, it is because of all the members, newbies, seniors and the inbetweens.

I think we should just forget about this thread and worry about more important things. If any newbie doesn't like to read the FAQ get negged then. Lets just leave it like that i am tired of this thread.;)
Then why do you read this thread if you're tired of it?

OK why if everybody desagrees with Showtime8000 people be giving him possitive AO points? I dont get it!!!!
Okay first when i said that i am tired of this post i didnt literaly mean it. I just said that because we all learned something from it. Its time for us to move on, everybody comes here and they say what they feel. If we all keep saying that newbies this and this, we aren't going to get anything from it. I mean why is showtime8000 against me? You are the one that stated that JP should stop newbies from signing up, or lower their sources of finding out about this site. So before you start to talk about somebody else being rude or saying what they feel.... I have nothing against this post other than he suggested that JP stops newbs from signing on or kill their sources. So everybody needs to think about that before you all start to see me as the enemy here.
It is the way he reacted to all of the corrective criticism. He never flamed anyone, (some newbies might have took it as flames on them) he learned:Quote:

In conclusion; I will add that a lot of these posts, IMHO, could have been nicer or not said at all. I suppose I will never quite understand why a person will read a post they dislike the topic of, then follow the thread for hours, hopping in and out of it every once in a while to see what the next person, who he probably won't like either, has posted. Only to ultimately post non-educational, non-supportive, rhetoric in this thread he has already dubbed nonsensical!
