While I do believe it's nice to hear a happy birthday, I somewhat agree with the person who negged reboot (not the neg, but the message)
The thing is, the tread is nice, but the shower of greenies doesn't seem appropriate. This is the second tread of birthday wishes and both authors are given AP for nothing....Quote:

Alright, tyger_claw, i think that was good logic.
Basically, i have been getting a lot of negs lately and without no reason, even when im not talking to those people, just talking to someone else, and they come and neg me and give me bad messages. And of course, there are nice people on the site also, but not many.
I was feeling that all this stupid negging can be balanced by my suggestion. And for every member, because they will HAVE a birthday someday, and we'll most likely come to know.
But if you think it's a bad idea, alright, guess that's your opinion.
I agree that it's wrong people neg for the dumbest reasons, I was "victim" to it tonight in the tread "Well, My Turn..."
All persons in that tread were negged. Nicefully, Valhallen coutered that by assigning positive points.
It's not a bad idea Invader, just needs a little work. It just seems to devalue the importance of the AP system.
I don't care much since I know there's AP abuse with AP Alliances and whatnot.
Just that if everyone declares their birthday, tada, Greenies!
Kinda like reaching a 1000 post mark....

by the way, i must not quote this in public but i had 90 AP's and now i have 3.
It was some senior member that get offended and negged the f*** out of me.
I know the "my turn" story as i read it. But unfortunately, i wasnt in there and so i havent got a valhallen yet. But yeah, it's true that you dont care about AP's, and you know why ?
Because man, you're a senior member and you got loads of them. You wouldn't mind if you are negged by some fellow once or twice, doesnt make much of a difference.
But it's where i stand, i stand on 3, i get negged once more, i get a grey dot.
See how much a difference it makes ? You got so many greenies i dont take time to count them. But ive got one or two , which a big member can get down for once, and i have no way to counter, even though im not that new. But anyway, this post , i hope is not counted in one of those which sayz "whining about AP's", never want to do that. But just dont want to get to that limit where i get a red dot. ( that's why i posted this as hidden, so people dont start neggin me again. )
I understand the devaluation point as said by you. But then, there should be a way out.
Maybe a new member starts with some amount, more than 10 atleast.
