I hate the idea of blaming a new user with negs because of failing to read the FAQ or whatnot.
Why discourage a person?

never worry mate - i just felt that yes ok there was some ap bitchin in this thread but the thread starters heart was in right place sending out a new yrs message and the advice u gave to the first time poster was valid and def did not deserve negs.
it will be a sad day for AO when peps start handing out negs cause someone is giving a n00b advice in a thread.....& if the time does come (which i hope it doesn't) I doubt i will remain here to see it - i still remember the days when i thought 250 aps was alot and the mistakes i made but with advice from the more senior members i have managed to build myself up on the site to what i hope is now a respected postion and i think alot of the n00bs on here if given the same alloances, advice and guidance as i was they could do the same

You are right though, I made a promise to quit negging without thinking on where the post is coming from, and I have been doing exactly that. But enough of my AP complaining.

I just come overhere for the science on the site. Lately there seems to be less discussion about computers and security where there are loads of post in the chit chat.

I did greekgoddess, hope you had fun letting the year go, people in my town did all kind of crazy and fun things, That includes this one guy that ran around naked lol. I find that to be very funny.
