Ok, here's the status on the IP thing, any program that I run on my comp, including ipconfig and grc's ip agent tell me that my ip is 90.0.0.72. However, any command run remotely, ie a file transfer or a /dns on irc gives me the address of my ISP's proxy. How do I know that? I installed a web server on my comp and ran http://hostname and that worked as did http://90.0.0.72 but http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (The /dns address) didn't work. So any more ideas??

im not sure what your asking cg, do you want those outside your proxied network to be able to reach your web site?
the dns server is not a web server so all you'll get from there is a page not found error 404
you say you can see your own page from your own computer...are others not on your network able to se it?? im confused
is everyone just typing the same garbage to get posts??? the guy doenst want fuc*** lan IP.. everyone knows how to get that.. he wants the wan IP. nooo ipconfig won't do it..noooo netstat -a won't do it... netstat -an etc.. bad advice.. noob responses im getting bored of.
If you had access to the proxy server you could make it foward connection attempts on port 80 or whatever else to you computer on the lan. I set up my switch on my cable network to foward specific trafic to specific machines. Also your isp may have a policy against running servers such as http and ftp without leasing a buisness line.
OK, I don't have access to the proxy (if you mean admin access), though my comp can obviously access the proxy, so I have that kind of access to it. Also, as much as I appreciate all the help, I am not a complete newbie, so please don't waste your breath telling me to run netstat or go to a site like whatismyip.com, because I'd already tried all that before I came here. Any methods to find out what proxy my ISP is running would help a lot, because then I could look it up.

I don't know what is your operating system but if u have windows installed u can try to type:
c:\windows>winipcfg

The only way that I know of for someone outside the network to access you computer through the proxy is to have admin access to the proxy or to find out what kind of trafic and what ports the proxy is letting inbound trafic come through. a way to do this ( if its ok with your provider ) is to port scan it then try sending packets through. The only prob with this is you cant ( that i know of ) direct the packets to your machine. To find out what proxy is running try to connect to the proxy and get the banner. again only do this if it is ok with your isp.

tracert www.antionline.com or your favorite website.....
You may see your IP address....

Are you saying that your true IP by means is not what i posted in my preavious message where your network is an win2000 server enviroment.?? I know that your true IP is done that way..
