Selling AO

Hi, i may still be a newbie on here, but its indeed in my bookmarks as oner of my fav sites. Im too new to see or understand this subject on why its or was up for sale. I agree that we should not jump to any conclusions and see why the sales post is gone. I would hate to see this site goto a company or a single owner. Its the members which keep this site going. Its people like you and me (i think/hope).

To get to the point. This is the only forum which is so active and well organized security related. This site is one of the best. Let it not go down without a fight for it. Also the AO owner(s) should consider the remarks about this subject from AO newbies seriously. But then again, i didnt catch the reason why it was up for sale. Forgive me if my post sounds confusing or bleh......i havent slept for 2 days, and just stumbled onto this post. KEEP THIS SITE ONLINE, AND DONT GIVE IT TO MICROSOFT <---- Thats the most important thing :p

haha, that just made me think. all along the only company i was worried about this site falling into was microsoft.

Arrrrggghh. Look before you post please. When you go to the index page when logged in, then there's a header called "Site Benefits" somewhere below your avatar. Under that header, it now says "Banner Free Surfing". Now, I dont know if this is for all the members, or just for the ones with some AP rating or rank, but it looks like a new feature.

I can't even imagine, that you can link the removal of banner space, to the selling of AO. Or even to some idea that JP can't pay for it.
