Hrm, I'm a new senior so does this apply to me? ;) Trust me man, I don't have any 'anal problems' or anything, and my position here is to help and learn. Nothing more, nothing less. Being that I'm a new Senior Member here, I'll definitely defend them and can say that most (if not all) of the active senior member's here have helped me one way or another. So, to the guy that said that, go piss off.

Well, I really don't think of any of the senior members here as anal. When I first joined, AO was very different (for one, there was more flaming) but one thing that hasn't changed is that the senior members continue to be helpful. I've been around for nearly 2 years now, I consider some of the guys here friends, and almost all of them happen to be seniors. I (kinda) think of myself as a senior too, considering how long I've been around. So whoever said that *bleeeeeeeeeeeeep* to you, you big fat ugly *bleeeeeeeeep*.
Cheers,

Oh for god's sake, Y is it that all the Seniors get dumped on by the Other users when we do something they don't like, and then when we don't help them they start getting more pissed off......ugh...it's too early for this.....stay outa my way of get negged :D lol

<waves his cane around>
Whah, back in mah day you whippersnappers would've had yer backsides paddled black 'n blue for disrespectin' yer elders...
Anality knows no borders.

This thing is not even worth to reply... damm I did.
I see many people talk about "new" and "old" senior members or "real" senior members and etc... since the ap's kind'a got out of control, AO perhaps needs other rankings? But on the other hand, why should that be necessary? Everyone knows who's been around here for long. It's always difficult to speak about value, contribution and stuff like that.
And speaking of the anal thing, since I'm a senior member this should be considered as some sort of a verbal attack? LOL.
Grow up. Like I said before, this isn't even worth a reply, but I did. That's what describes senior members: they are addicted to this forum. It's a gathering place. And I'm pretty sure most of us are willing to help anyone. At least anyone who's mature enough. This has completly nothing to do with age, it's about how you behave.
edit: corrected some vocabulary mistakes

What do you expect? I'm not a senior member yet, nevertheless I am a bit fed up with people asking questions that are either entirely stupid "How do I hack hotmail" have been asked a million times before "How do I get LILO off my MBR" or invite flame wars "What is the best Linux distro?"
So to be quite honest, I think they're quite reasonably under the circumstances.

Indeed, we are quite reasonably under the circumstances. ;)
thx Slarty to point that out.

I will let you know my opinion on this once/if i become a senior member :D
But i must admit that many seniors have helped me out in the past. And yes, there should be some respect for them too. For someone becoming a senior does not only mean having so many posts made. For someone to have so many posts and still be in AO (meaning that they have not been banned during so many posts) tells me that they know what they are talking about. Maybe some of you should pay alot more attention to what seniors have to say. I have not come across a senior yet that flames without reason, or posts dumb posts. (Although i have to say that i have seen a post or two where Tedob has flamed a newbie really badly :p )
Sorry if i have interfeered on a topic that i should not have (me not being even a member yet).
Cheers.

I personally have never had a problem with a senior member before, theyv always been helpful to me, if someone has a problem with a senior member its usually because they brought in on themselves, you dont become a senior member here without going threw a lot o posts without being banned, obviously if your a senior member you earned it and deserve to be called a senior member because its not easy at all, when iw as a newbie, i didnt ask many questions in threads because most of mine had to do with the site so i just PM a senior member (for example i didnt know how to read what people said in my journal, i asked a senior member and had a responce that said well im not sure but i know that so and so does know because they use there journal more, i asked them and got an answer, i didnt think that i needed a hole thread for something like this so i just PM a senior memer and got my answer) but in my experiance iv gotten along and i enjoy talking to all of them because they are kick ass people, and in my opinion again, they are senior members because others think so to, which is why there still here, if anything they deserve a pat on the back for being so helpful (im not kissin ass im just saying my opinion, and in my opinion they are all helpful nice people)
