Ok you say that the songs are not "real", then where did they get them... the offical web site or something? Just trying to follow exactly what you meant by that. But yeah I can understand the other part. If you search for a song and a bunch of people have it, but it's all the same exact file size, then it's probably the same distorted song.
It still cracks me up with them doing this. I guess all that will happen is it will have to wait until a few people go out and buy the actual CD's, then it well be flooded across the Internet, right?

phish the DoS that the court said no too was an actual DoS attack on the computers serving out the music and the supernodes. they have software that just keeps sending requests making it impossible for anyone else to get anything from the machines under attack. Alse compleatly eating up the bandwidth of the computers involved and everyone else on that network segment.
