Hello my name is Rachel and it's been one day since my last linguistic-screw-up. I complained about a co-worker who sent inflammatory email about me to someone else by stating that she had "negged" me.
I know there's a world out there which I should get out and explore but the warm glow of my screen is so comforting. ; )
Something like that happened to me on the phone.
LOL, I though I was the only one who went around saying lol without knowing it in real life until someone points it out to me...
Maybe all that time in irc is warping my mind....... lol :-)
I had a mate in computer class way back about 3 years ago in year 12 do the exact same thing. we just looked at him and said "dude you been spending to much time on the net haha"
I usually say BWAHAHAHAAA in chats... Once in a bar my friend told a joke and I was like "BWAHAHAAAA". Pretty... ow... pretty notrmall actually.

Just say HAHA in all yer chats when you normally say lol ;)
A thing I had more trouble with is the word "uber". Besides Antionline and Happyhacker and Adolf Hitler, noone seems to use that. I had one time a friend gave me something to drink and it tasted like gasoline (wich is pretty good actually) and I said something like "whoa this **** is uber".
In some MSN chats I said w00t. Noone new what it ment really...
I never said lol because in dutch it does have a meaning...
See now if I do that around my friends they expect that, does that mean I'm too much of a geek? Though I've never done it in a big croud of people who didn't know me, very nice 123!
Just say "W00T!!"

LOL i am using this to and my friend have the same opinion .. But now they are used to it !

Heh, I've never said 'LOL' out loud, but jokingly I've told some of my friends to 'scroll up' in a conversation when they say 'huh?'
Gotta love it.
