it's when you get a new "os" if can call it that, for your phone.
like if you want to flash your dvd rom for eg you load a new "firmware" for it.
it's a "software" or maybe i should say firmware upgrade for your phone

Perhaps a few of the links here would be nice...(with in reason of course)for me it is to see if the other tools are any better than the ones we pay to use for service..
