Gezz.... its not like this guy couldn't just put it up into his signature. Instead I guess he thought it'd be a good idea to try and make a few low quality threads so we'd spread flame. And besides... I don't know if you've noticed but when you checkout the recordings of defcon you'll notice that each year you can see & hear more & more peaple there.... its not like they need billboards and 24 hours per day comercial advertising. So why try and ruin it with all this lameness?

Of course it was SPAM!
As your definition states Spam = An unsolicited advertisement
Unsolicited = Not looked for or requested
Maybe im mistaken but no-body requested this link, did they?
-
you did when you clicked on it. Thread title=Defcon You clicked for MORE INFORMATION. How dense are you guys anyway?
-
If we'd all follow that logic, these boards would be empty, r3b00+ ;)
Although I have to agree that Public bookmarks would have been a better place to put this link... if anyone ever looks at those, that is.
Chill... maybe we could turn this thread into an informative thread about DefCon 11... most users here never visited DefCon, and most won't ever have a chance to visit it.
The Book list for instance looks nice.

as you said earlier they have meetings and stuff and i though it was information on some new project defcon had going or something but to my disapointment it was just a link to www.defcon.org with 2 lines before it saying cool forms and a cool community to me that is SPAM

I'm planning on going to the next DefCon to sit in and see what it's all about. Any one else planning on going already?
