I will agree with the general consensus of people. Yes, you would be correct in not doing anything, unless you can get the go ahead from higher up. But sure, go and try to get the go-ahead, especially in a situation like this. If you can make sure that your link to the company is as secure as a wireless one can be, and they are somewhat competent managers ( I'm hoping they are slightly above the quality of Dilbert's managers :D ) then they should have no problem with it, especially if it makes things easier and faster for you to do work ( read, you do more work = they make more money )

Yeah the right thing would be to get permission in some form from somebody high up. However if its'a DS3 (45Mbit I believe) you woudn't have to use all of the bandwith. Would you be able to maybe slice off a little 5 mbit section for your use. The one guy is right tho about if one of your family members accidentally downloaded something containing some type of virus and it infected your company's system. That could have some disastrous consequences. I would Probably go ahead and use some of the bandwith, but with your other family members I would use the strongest antivirus and firewall software you could find, Just in case.
But thats a very tempting offer. Just about anyone would love to get the use of a DS3 line. If your company ever doesn't use all of that bandwith you could run me a line for the leftovers. LOL.
