Hmmm... just talked to one of the tech guys. Says they're getting a myriad of attempted attacks and that another large host is having a similar problem and has been down over 8 hours already.
FYI: windows tracert uses ICMP echo requests while *nix's traceroute uses UDP packets...
Of course the reply is always a ICMP TTL expired...

I traced the server that you have and it comes back as taking 16 hops. none of them timed out.
So I didn't have any problems on my end. Maybe it's like some of the other guys were saying that the severs are full.
Yeah, the host was having major errors and a tech stated that they were detecting a high amount of attacks. Haven't had the problem since the day I posted, so apparently they figured it out.
