Right now i have IE6, but this may hold true for some of the lower versions. If you hold down control and scroll your mouse wheel up and down, it will resize the fonts on the page. I've accidently changed mine on many occasions.
Hope this helps.

In addition, I just figured this one out:
Some versions of Eudora Mail will actually change the registry setting for IE fonts! I work in a real estate office and the house listings are online. About 80% of the time we went in to print home listings, the IE text size would be set to "smaller" and it was barely readable when we printed. So we'd have to manually change the font size to medium and then print. The weird thing is that the setting wouldn't stay. If we changed the text size to Medium, then opened Eudora (our email program), the actual registry setting would change to "Smaller" (or whatever font size we had specified in Eudora). Damn problem pissed me off for a long time, but I finally figured out the right search terms when googling and found my answer!

you give the impression that the trojan may have been on your system for a while. if thats the case font size should not be your formost concern. if a trojan has gone undetected on your box for a period of time you should really re-formant and re-install and use all different passwords including the one you use with your isp. you have no idea what could have been done to your system while it was there.
