Oh no, my faith is waning in the invincibility of the coalition troops. I can't deal with the fact that Iraq took some of our troops prisoner. Mmm, instead of coping, I think I will actively encourage DoS attacks against a news provider, hopefully something that even grandma and grandpa could get involved with. After all, out of sight is out of mind.
They took some of your troops prisoner. They asked the troops a few questions, possibly to prove to the naysayers that they were indeed captured US troops. And since you can't deal with it you want to down an Arab news server.
And you want to start talking Geneva Convention and international law? What about those POWs still being held from the war in Afghanistan:
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2003/ja...guan-j03.shtmlQuote:
The prisoners have been deemed “unlawful combatants” by the US authorities in order to deny them official prisoner-of-war status and the most rudimentary human rights. They have no access to their families or lawyers and the US government has given no indication when or if the prisoners, some of whom are only 16 years of age, will ever be charged or brought to trial. Under their current status, the prisoners can be held as long as the US government decrees.
Supported by the US judiciary, the Bush administration has thumbed its nose at criticism from the International Red Cross and Amnesty International. These and other human rights organisations have pointed out that the detainees are being held in contravention of the Geneva Convention, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the US Constitution.
There are 625 prisoners still being held by the US government from that war. IMO, it is bullshit of America to say that other countries should conform to international law which they don't personally subscribe to.
