Fatherhood?

Look....being a Dad isn't hard.

I had my first when I was 21. My wife is pregnant with our third right now. Yeah, there are some big sacrifices to be made, but it's worth it. Though it is tough, the rewards are beyond measurement.

Don't sweat it, always love them, do what you think is right, and everything will be just fine. Honestly.

Congratulations hjack on becomming a parent it the most wonderful thing in the world.
I know i had six 4 girls and 2 boys oldest is 25 youngest is 5.
And i just found out that i have a another grandchild on the way that makes 3 not bad for just turning 42 lol.

Hjack two things....first off congrats, I had my first (and only) at 21 as well...there are those who are going to look down on you, but you do what you have to do. It wasn't easy for me, I wound up as a single mom at 23, but it is one of the most wonderful, fulfilling things I've ever done. Keep that in mind, especially at 3 in the morning when s/he has a tummy ache and won't stop crying ;)


Now...secondly....OMG YOU'RE IN GAINESVILLE!! Haha..are you at UF or Santa Fe? I live about 25 miles north of you...and go to Gainesville for everything. Are you from this area, or did you just go to Gainesville for school?

Congrats Hjack.First of all I want to say getting married at the age of 21 is not that bad since I have been there myself.When the right women comes along it is worth it.I have now been married for 20 years and you know what is the best thing of all?You grow up with your kids and believe me it is wonderfull.I have two sons , one 15 and the other 18.By the time they decide to leave home (hope that never comes but suppose it is immenent),you and the wife can still do a whole lot of things, like for instance plan a second honeymoon.This might even end up adding a new member to the family...lol..All in all it is great so congrats again and may your journey be fruitfull and prosperous.

We just moved here for school. I just moved here about 6m onths ago and she has been here for like almost 2 yrs. Really miss back home but gotta get that degree right? She's going for Neo Natal and I am going for (guess) computer sciences.

My older sister just had a baby around a month ago, and i have to say she looks alot happier than i have seen her in months. I have heard the terrible two's can be bad though :p

oh man, that's great! i've got quite a few friends who are doing the college thing/baby thing, so don't worry- it can be done! just be a good daddy- it's super important not to project any negative behavior onto your kid, no matter what happens between you and the child's mom. :) good luck!
