I came up with what I thought was a pretty good idea over the weekend.

It could tie in nicely with what has already been suggested.

Yeah it might work but I kinda go along with the guy who made the comment about the "lameness test"...... It would be a pain if I just want a quick question answered which it seems a lot of the "new people" coming here want to start with...... They would probably go to the next place their search engine turned up 'cos it's the question they wany answered not a nice warm fuzzy community to join if you see what I mean.

I think we just need to make it clear up front we are not 31337 h@xoRz and leave it at that.....

Tiger Shark, I've taken your suggestion (and most of your verbage) and added it to the "nag screen." Hopefully this will help out! When Negative's done with his updated FAQ I'll link directly to that...for now it's linked to the regular site FAQ. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Actually, I like the idea of the Newbie FAQ test. We could make it part of the registration part (but make it optional), and give a benifit of taking the test like 5 AP points for passing it.
