God, you guys are good! I wish I had found this site a lot sooner! I downloaded Adaware from http://www.lavasoftusa.com as suggested by Cross. It really found a lot of malicious junk and deleted it. My computer is running so much faster! I also downloaded The Cleaner as suggested by phishphreek80 (from http://www.moosoft.com/thecleaner/. It did not detect any trojans, but I'm glad I found out about this program. Today, after downloading and running these programs, I have not received any notices of suspected viruses in my email. Usually I get ten or more. The day is young, however, and I will wait and see. Thanks so much, and thanks to Gore, Souleman, and allenb1963 as well for giving me advice. One more thing, however. If someone (or some computer) is forging headers so that it looks like it comes from me, and my computer is virus-free, is there any way to control this without knowing whose computer is doing it?
