Lets start here sure its bettter for the King and the warlords we put into power, but ask the women overthere who traded in a fullbody covering for rape and murder (not that the Talaban treated women well just that the warlords treat them worse). lets also ask any teenage boy that has been "recruted" by a warlords buggering squad. Oh wait it is better for one more group the opium farmer for the rest of the people the country is as bad if not worse then it was with the Taliban in charge. Oh and I thaught the whole point of that war was to get Binladden..so where is he again?
I am unaware of women being murdered and raped like you stated... can you post some kind of source or something? Life only getting better for the "King and the warlords" is ridiculous. People have been granted freedom, whats better than being able to say what you want and pretty much do anything you want and not get killed for it. People are able to listen to the radio, they are able to criticize their government, they can go out without fear of death. I don't think any of those are bad things, do you? And I want to point out that I don't think our work there is done. Democracy is never ending idea, and over time it will improve to a level where a majority will be satisified.

Umm if they had the weapons the ywould have used/ would be useing them, If you hadn't noticed the war isn't over yet (send any argument on that to the 50 troops that have died in the last month to Iraq fire. WE pulled of a text book blitzcreage offense, they are now pulling off the text book defense.) Are the people better off now, yes, but only marginaly. There is a difference between freedom and anarchy.
If my memory serves me correctly, they did launch weapons against us. Don't you remember the SCUDs that came from Iraq and hit Kuwait?? Don't you remember the live pictures on CNN and MSNBC of US Patriot missiles hitting down other SCUDs launched from Iraq?? And you answered your own question why they didn't use the WMD, we did use a blitzkrieg (means sudden swift attack for all you non-WWII fans) attack, we took Iraq by suprise and now we're in Iraq trying to find those weapons before someone actually gets to use them. And the 50 soldiers that died were killed in minor conflicts... like Bush said, the major fighting is over, you don't see Iraqi anti-aircraft fire anymore, you don't see Saddam's army anymore, now all that's left is to root out the small cells of Saddam supporters that are left and then locate the WMD.

how do you propose we send troops into a forign nation without a war...we don't rule the world, and would have no right to do that. My sugestion to Iran and Syria is to get Nukes as fast as you can, its the only way to keep the US honest.
It's easy, send troops to our embassies and make them wander the streets and see what's going on, if a group like Hamas strikes then we should attack them, or if Isreal attacks w/ Apaches then we should return the favor with ours... And I beg to disagree with you on the fact that we don't rule the world. I think we do, we're Imperialists, we pretty much do what we want, a good example would be the Iraqi War. Then UN Securtiy Council said that we can't attack and what did we do? We bombed the **** out of Iraq. When there's trouble in the world, where do most countries look, America. And if you don't agree w/ that, I'll ask you a question: Who can stop us from doing what we want? No one... absolutely no one can... Why should Iran and Syria get more nukes, they're probably stock pilled as it is??:p

All these middle eastern countries have existed for over thousands of years. How dare Bush go in and just bomb them, heh, a nation thats just 200 years old. Shame. I am against any military action that the US does. If they would just spend one tenth of the money they give out for war to actually really help a country in need, that means food, medical, technology, education, then these countries might have a better life. But democracy is not a world wide solution. All bush does is slaughter women and children. Thats all.
Sorry but that is a stupid ass comment... first, what does my country's have anything to do with what we do? We are the most powerful nation in the world, and if countries like Isreal (wasn't it created after WWII as a reparation to the Jews?) and Palestine have a problem with that, then they should try to do something about it. If they're so much older and they can't handle a simple problem like a territory dispute then how can you even support them? And if you're talking about the US killing women and children, then I suggest you pull your head out of your ass and buy a TV. Look at how many innocent people Hamas has killed! Look at the airstrikes Isreal does, you don't thnk that innocent people die there? I admit there have been innocent people killed by America's wars but you cannot simply argue one side like that without paying any attention to the other. Secondly, all those countries can talk crap about America and how we kill innocent people all day, but in the end, what do they do? They come crawling back, asking for the Red Cross, asking for money, for food, for medicine!!! When did America become the world's bank?

Do a little digging and you will find that the clerics in Iran are clinging to power by a slim thread. After years of repression the younger, PRO-AMERICAN voters are about ready to toss them out on their ears. Given that political climate, I'm holding out hope that resolution will come thru peaceful means.
Good point... the younger folk of Iran also held protests like what? Two weeks ago? I agree that Iran won't be our next target but it will make the list in the coming years. Hopefully, for now, like others have said, we can end the situation there through peaceful means.
