where do babies come from?
Mr. CD:\ here is my question for you.
You have two hard drives in a system, the master is running win98 and the slave is running linux on one partion and win2k on another.
One day you decide to format the slave and you do so without any problem. You create a FAT32 partion on the slave and you save some files on it and everything is working fine.
Later on, say a couple months down the line, the slave drive begins to give problems, so you decide to format it and you do so. However, after restarting the computer and logging back into windows you realize that all the files are still on the slave drive. You are extremely suprise and therefore go into DOS in an attempt to format the slave drive from there. You format the drive but when you are done you realize the files are still there.
How would you get rid of those files that just don't seem like they want to go away. I recently solve this problem with the help of a few guys on this forum. See if you can figure it out.
And am assuming you know the terminolgy mentioned in my question if you don't all the more to learn.
Guidance...

Hi peeps:
In my quest for knowledge, I have come up with an interesting (at least I think so) way to learn more.
Instead of asking questions, I was wondering:
Could you guys ask ME questions?
Here's the thing: You guys ask me questions, and I try my best by googling and reading to answer that question. I learn. You don't have to answer anything. You can torment me with trick questions. We're both happy. :D
I just need to know one thing. Should I keep the answers to myself, or actually post or pm the answer?
I would be happy to see who can help me out.
Give 3 examples please....

I believe the initial point of this particular thread was, infact, for other users to ask questions, and for the author of the thread to answer them for us. I wasn't being a smartarse when I asked about Longhorn, I genuinly wanted to know.
And hey, heres a tip: Get a sense of humour, where to babies come from is a good question, one that I can explain, if needed, and give a demonstration of the human recreation...
If I remember right, the classical definition of space was (from the DeSitter metric)Quote:
Define "The Universe"...
Give 3 examples please....
Ë > 1 : (closed model)
Ë = 1 : (flat model)
Ë < 0 (saddle-like/Open model)
where Ë is the Cosmological constant. I do not really remember how the equations were derived, but I will refresh my memory. However, I do not know if the above inequalities remain true with the space-time metric being more than 4 dimensions.
It still does not make it any less lame. :)Quote:
