Now I'm not a user of RH...but a simple search on the RH support site shows that there was a bug fix released..

If I were you, I'd get a new version of gcc (maybe try http://gcc.gnu.org/) - not sure if they hold RPMs, biut I'm sure you can grab a binary.
Remove the old version (after a backup if it's a 'live' box...obviously)
Install the new version

It seems that your RPM dependencies have gone a bit pear shaped.
I would suggestd using apt/synaptic as this will qucikly tell you what package dependencies are broken and try and fix them for you.
