How to secure your wireless network:
1) Put an open access point outside your firewall
2) Use a VPN to get into your network through the wireless network
3) Feel good that you are providing a public service, and are doing the only thing you can do to have a secure 802.11 network: using a VPN. Hiding your SSID doesn't do do much, WEP is a truly sad cryptosystem, and MAC address filtering is both inconvenient and ineffective. Maybe 802.11m will be securable, but until then, a VPN is the only way to go.
